Durham based fire safety specialists, Isoler, have announced the appointment of a new, highly experienced compliance team to support the company’s continued expansion across the North East and beyond.
The four-person team, led by Stewart Todd, brings a combined 120+ years of experience in the construction and compliance sectors.
Well-connected across the region, the team members are known for their deep technical expertise, collaborative approach, and proven track records on complex, high-risk building projects.
Joining Stewart are Ian Thompson, Julie Sharp, and Chloe Flowers, all of whom bring valuable industry insight and strong reputations within the North East construction community.
Their appointment signals a strategic move by Isoler to further strengthen its compliance offering and enhance client care in an increasingly regulated market.
“Since the introduction of the Building Safety Act in 2022, which set out significant changes to the way high-risk and high-rise buildings are managed, the need for robust compliance support has only grown,” said Stewart Todd.
“We’re here to guide clients through those changes – ensuring they make the right decisions from the very start of a project all the way through to completion. Our team understands what’s at stake, and we’re committed to helping our clients meet and exceed the expectations of the new regulations.”
The Building Safety Act 2022 introduced tougher rules for the design, construction, and ongoing management of buildings, particularly those deemed high-risk. It places greater accountability on building owners, developers, and duty holders to demonstrate compliance throughout the lifecycle of a building.
Josh Watson, Managing Director of Isoler, added: “This is a significant step for our business. Stewart and the team bring an exceptional level of knowledge, experience, and client focus that will complement and enhance the services we already provide. As we continue to grow, these appointments help ensure we remain a trusted partner for our clients, delivering not just compliance but peace of mind.
“They’re all well-known names in the region, and I know the value they’ll bring to our clients, both new and existing. Our focus is about keeping people safe; ensuring every building is compliant, and ultimately, that everyone gets home safely.”
Stewart concluded: “The welcome we’ve received at Isoler has been fantastic. There’s a strong, collaborative culture here, and we’re excited to be part of the next phase of growth. Together, we’re focused on delivering the highest standards of compliance and care to every client, on every project.”
