After more than four decades in the fire protection industry and 35 remarkable years with Isoler – our Managing Director, John Gilstin will be retiring this month.
John first joined Isoler in 1990, bringing with him a wealth of knowledge, a deep passion for the industry, and a quiet determination to make a difference. Over the years, he has helped guide the company through major changes, sustained growth, and countless successful projects, always with a steady hand and a people-first approach.
Throughout his time with us, John has earned the respect, admiration, and genuine friendship of colleagues, customers, and industry peers alike. His leadership style, rooted in trust, humility, and collaboration – has shaped not just the direction of the business, but also its culture. Under John’s guidance, Isoler has grown into a company defined by integrity, teamwork, and excellence.
In John’s own words:
“I’ve been lucky to work with some truly wonderful people – many of whom I now call friends, not just colleagues. The support and dedication I’ve received have made every day rewarding. While it’s the people at the top who often get the credit, it’s the teams that make a business what it is. I’m proud to be leaving Isoler at a time when it’s stronger than ever, and I have every confidence in the directors and their teams to take it even further.”
John’s legacy will remain a meaningful part of Isoler’s story, and he will be missed by all who’ve had the pleasure of working with him.
