We’ve worked closely with Gentoo for several years now, and it’s been a real privilege to be trusted with delivering essential building fire protection and safety upgrades across multiple sites. Whether through on-site works or community support, this partnership means a great deal to us because it’s about doing right by our region.
Now, we’re delighted to continue our journey with Gentoo as part of their £44 million Housing Investment Programme for 2025/26, which will bring major improvements to more than 4,000 homes across Sunderland.
Fire Protection That Makes a Difference

Some of the key projects we’ve supported include:
- Hedworth Court – A complete fire protection package to strengthen building safety and compliance
- Haddington Vale, Sunderland – Works providing essential building fire protection services is complete with Cherry Tree Gardens about to start
- Fire Door Safety Week – We hosted a training day for Gentoo’s Building Safety Customer Team, promoting the importance of fire door safety
We also proudly supported Gentoo’s Your Gentoo Christmas event at the Sunderland Empire, which brought festive cheer to over 200 local customers. For us, contributing to the community goes beyond construction.
