We’re pleased to announce the promotion of Ben Dunwoodie to Assistant Quantity Surveyor, recognising the progress, dedication, and development he has shown during his time at Isoler.
Since joining the business as a Trainee in 2023, Ben has gained valuable experience across a variety of projects, supporting both joinery and firestopping schemes. His role initially focused on assisting with larger valuations while independently managing smaller projects, helping him build a strong foundation in commercial management and project delivery.
Throughout his journey, Ben has worked closely with multiple members of the team, developing both his technical and commercial understanding of the industry.
Speaking about the support he has received, Ben said:
“I’ve learned a lot about pricing different projects and understanding where our costs come from with Josh. Steve Overton, Richey Scaife and Jamie Gilroy have all taught me a lot about firestopping and the various details, while Nichol has helped me learn more about the valuation process and job costing.”
Ben’s promotion to Assistant Quantity Surveyor marks an exciting next step in his career and provides an opportunity for him to become more involved in larger, higher-value projects.
Commenting on the promotion, Ben said:
“It was excellent to hear – I’m proud of the progress I’ve made so far. This new role gives me the opportunity to take on more complex projects and continue developing my commercial management experience.”

Looking ahead, Ben is keen to continue building his knowledge within the commercial side of the business, gaining greater involvement in larger schemes and progressing towards becoming a fully qualified Quantity Surveyor as he continues working through his degree.
