At Monkwearmouth Hospital in Sunderland, we had the privilege of working for Sir Robert McAlpine to apply both solvent-based and water-based intumescent paint to the steel structures of their new construction project.
Following the successful handover of the intumescent paint works, we then received an instruction to complete the fire stopping package and acoustic package.
It’s been a pleasure to work in partnership with Sir Robert McAlpines on getting our package of work over the line to the highest standards.
Works Manager, Steven Kelso said: “Lastly can I place on record that Andrew and Harrison have proactively assisted in the challenges at MW in particular the curtains which came to the table late.
Was a good sign today when they carried out the compounds over finished carpets and looked for a solution for making sure the areas didn’t get damaged.
That’s a good culture and one which needs noted in an industry where some aren’t as keen to protect.”
